Accommodation and ADA Considerations: Reproductive Disorders and Pregnancy
Date: Thursday May 12, 2022 (This event is in the past.)
Training Type: Remote Monthly Series Training
Description:
Likely a lesser-known fact, reproductive disorders affect millions of Americans each year. Maybe this is partly true because we don’t talk about, or take seriously enough, the impact of these types of disorders on work. What we do know is that job-related limitations associated with reproductive disorders can often be addressed by reasonable accommodations provided under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and/or related laws. This training will include information about common reproductive disorders, limitations, accommodations, and ADA considerations related to such impairments as endometriosis, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), fibroids, polycystic ovary syndrome, cervical and ovarian cancers, menopause, and infertility. Pregnancy-related job accommodation issues will also be discussed.
