Overview

The Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program (TEDP) is an integral program of the State of New Mexico Commission for Deaf & Hard of Hearing. Established by the Telecommunications Access Act, the TED Program provides equipment to qualified New Mexicans every year.
NMCDHH offers devices including amplified telephones, iPads, speech-generating devices, neck loops and more through our awarded provider, Teltex, Inc.  There is no cost to New Mexico residents who meet the following requirements:

  • You must have a total household income of $50,000 or less.
  • You must have a landline telephone for an amplified phone or internet for an iPad.
  • You must be a New Mexico resident.
  • You must have a documented hearing loss or speech loss.
