Overview

The Disability Research Institute (DRI) is a partnership between the U.S. Social Security Admnistration, Office of Disability and Income Security Programs, and the College of Applied Life Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), with the participation of other campus units as well as units or researchers at six other affiliated institutions. The Institute was first announced June 1, 2000, and is supported by a five-year, $5.25 million grant from the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA).
