The National Organization on Disability offers a catalog of disability employment training that can be delivered in-person or virtually to increase awareness of disability etiquette. Sessions may be targeted to managers to highlight the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities, and to understand the manager’s role in successful recruitment, retention and performance outcomes.

  • Increase competence and confidence across the organization to successfully include employees with disabilities in the workplace
  • Learn accepted practices in interacting with individual with disabilities, whether they are current employees, job candidates, or clients
  • Signal your organization’s commitment to individuals with disabilities as a valued segment of the workforce, increasing likelihood that existing employees feel comfortable disclosing their disabilities
  • Increases your company’s ability to effectively recruit, hire and retain individuals with disabilities, by ensuring that front line staff are able to address disability issues that may arise at any phase of the employment lifecycle
