ERGO Enterprise Edition (E3) is a fully functioning interactive demo of the ERGO technology. E3 is an implementation of the software development toolkit (SDK) mobile enterprise applications developers will need to integrate ERGO into their apps.
THIS APPLICATION IS PROVIDED FOR EVALUATION PURPOSES ONLY.
WHAT IS ERGO?
ERGO (patent pending) is a state of the art ear biometric authentication technology designed specifically for the mobile sector. ERGO is currently available as an end user consumer application and as an enterprise implementation. End user consumers can secure their smartphones with ERGO as a lock screen application. Enterprise customers can add a layer of biometric authentication to their mobile applications by using our software development kit (SDK).
WHY ERGO?
It's no secret smartphone security is lacking. PINs/Passwords are easily lost, forgotten, stolen, shared or even hacked. By combining the most natural of all phone gestures - lifting your phone to your ear - with the unique geometry of your ear, we have created a robust and reliable mobile device security solution that is easy to use, non-invasive and non-distracting. ERGO provides users the ability to authenticate using a biometric that is local and insular – the profile is stored and used on the device.
HOW IT WORKS:
ERGO verifies an individual’s identity against a profile before access is granted to the device or application. An individual’s identity is verified as an authorized operator by combining a physiological biometric, data derived from direct measurement of the ear, with a behavioral biometric, data derived from the physical action taken by a person as they raise their smartphone and press it to their ear.
WHAT TO DO:
Users are encouraged to PRESS their EAR to the CENTER of their smartphone when they capture a scan (to create a profile or to authenticate). ERGO relies on additional sensors embedded in most smartphone, including the accelerometer, to measure the phone's tilt at the precise moment the ear taps the phone. Best advice for new users is to be consistent.
