Organization: Vermont Equipment Distribution Program (VTEDP)
About:The Vermont Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program is a statewide program that loans telecommunications equipment to enable low-income Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing, and individuals with physical disabilities to communicate by telephone. To qualify, applicants must provide proof that they have a disability requiring adaptive telephone equipment to use the phone service, and income that is below the federal poverty guidelines for their household size. VTEDP will purchase up to $750 of equipment for qualified individuals and it is theirs till they move out of state or no longer need it.
