Anne E. Hirsh

Director of Collaborations, Evaluation, and Reporting

Anne Hirsh is the Director of Collaborations, Evaluation, and Reporting for the Job Accommodation Network (JAN), the leading national source of expert guidance on workplace accommodation and disability employment issues. Since 1986, Anne has been committed to serving the JAN organization and has held various titles. She started as a Consultant, became the Associate Manager in 1994, served as Co-Director in 2007, and was later appointed Associate Director. As a senior leadership partner, Anne directs all aspects of the service delivery side of the JAN organization, manages the JAN staff, and oversees daily operations.

Anne’s hands-on leadership style enables her to be highly involved in the day-to-day activities of the JAN staff. Her tenure with the organization and experience as a Consultant working with all JAN specialty teams make Anne uniquely qualified to not only lead the organization but to continue to serve JAN customers. She provides nationwide consultation and training regarding a broad range of disability employment, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and job accommodation issues.

Anne also serves as JAN public relations liaison, leads the effort to collect accommodation and JAN follow-up data, coordinates all organizational training, facilitates strategic product development, and assists with marketing. She has been instrumental in assisting with the development of various JAN resources, including the Workplace Accommodation Toolkit, the JAN Mobile Accommodation Solution (MAS) App, various JAN videos, and most recently, the MyJAN Portal.

Anne's interests include effective approaches in accommodation, educating employers and individuals with disabilities on the ADA interactive process, and exploring accommodation solutions for individuals with hearing loss and mental health conditions.

Anne holds a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Vocational Evaluation from West Virginia University (WVU). She is a Certified Professional in Disability Management (CPDM). In 2006, Anne was awarded the Laddie R. Bell Distinguished Service Award by the WVU College of Human Resources and Education, in recognition of 20 years of national, regional, and local service to individuals with disabilities. Prior to establishing a career with JAN, Anne previously worked in private rehabilitation.
