Jose Gonzalez Lopez, MPH

Jose Gonzalez Lopez began working for the Job Accommodation Network (JAN) in March 2020 as an Employment Specialist and became a Consultant in December 2022. In this role, Jose assists individuals with disabilities and their family members by helping them understand their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Jose also assists JAN customers by helping them explore job accommodation solutions related to all types of impairments, limitations, and job tasks, and empowers them to request and negotiate these accommodations at work.
Jose earned a Master of Public Health degree with a focus on Social and Behavioral Science in 2016 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Food with a minor in Business Administration, both from West Virginia University (WVU).

Jose is originally from Puerto Rico and is fluent in English and Spanish. He moved to West Virginia in 2010. Before joining the JAN team, he worked for the WVU Diabetes Management Program analyzing participant data.

In his spare time, Jose enjoys video games, tabletop roleplaying games, and paper crafts.
