Jose began working for the Job Accommodation Network (JAN) in March 2020 as an Employment Specialist. In this role, Jose speaks to individuals with disabilities, as well as their family members, helping them understand their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and assisting them in identifying accommodation ideas for motor, cognitive, and sensory impairments.
Jose is originally from Puerto Rico and is fluent in English and Spanish. He moved to West Virginia in 2010 and graduated from West Virginia University (WVU) with a Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition and Food and a minor in Business Administration. In 2016, he obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) from WVU with a focus on Social and Behavioral Science. Before joining the JAN team, he worked for the Diabetes Management Program analyzing participant data.
In his spare time, Jose enjoys video games, tabletop roleplaying games, and paper crafts.
