Step 4: Choose the Accommodation
An individual with a certain limitations may have difficulty working for long periods while sitting. Though periodic breaks are often necessary, other accommodations include:
- Using adjustable workstations (office and industrial),
- Retrofitting with height adjustable table legs,
- Using ergonomic chairs,
- Providing anti-fatigue matting,
- Implementing ergonomic principles and using ergonomic equipment such as monitor risers, articulating keyboard and mouse trays, foot rests, forearm supports, headsets, lumbar cushions, copyholders, alternative keyboards and mice, page turners, book holders, and task lighting.
