Food

The food industry is comprised of a lot of different types of service jobs, from cooking to serving to tallying bills. It's not uncommon for someone in the food industry to need accommodations for a motor, mobility, hearing, vision, and/or cognitive impairment. For these types of situations, a job accommodation may involve modifying the way an essential job function is typically done and can include purchasing one or more pieces of equipment. Here are some examples of equipment that JAN suggests for these situations. For additional information, visit JAN's other resources under A to Z and use JAN's Searchable Online Accommodation Resource (SOAR) or contact JAN directly for what you are needing.
