Anna Saab began working as an Employment Specialist for the Job Accommodation Network (JAN) in September 2020. Anna educates individuals with disabilities about their rights under the employment provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and empowers them to request and negotiate accommodations in the workplace. She also assists JAN customers by helping them explore accommodation strategies related to all types of impairments, limitations, and job tasks.
Before joining the JAN team, Anna traveled her home state of West Virginia as a journalist, providing platforms for communities impacted by the Opioid Epidemic to share their stories. Meeting diverse populations and investigating and reporting on their stories has inspired Anna to join a workforce that works to empower people with disabilities to stand-up for their rights and be their own advocate. Anna endeavors to be a legal advocate in the future, to serve communities around the United States by not only informing them of their rights but also protecting them.
Anna earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the Reed College of Media at West Virginia University (WVU) in May of 2020. When she’s not working, Anna enjoys cooking new recipes, doing crossword puzzles, and yoga at home.
