Carmen Fullmer, MS

Consultant, Cognitive / Sensory Team

Carmen Fullmer became a consultant at JAN in 2001. She earned a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling as well as Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Literature and Communication Theory & Research.

Carmen provides consultation on the Cognitive and Sensory Teams. She has written and collaborated on publications as a member of JAN’s Policy Research Team. Her philosophy about accommodating people with disabilities is reflected well in the words of Canadian Supreme Court Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella: "Sometimes equality means treating people the same, despite their differences, and sometimes it means treating them as equals by accommodating their differences."

In her free time, Carmen is an actress. She also served as an editor and production assistant on freelance projects and documentaries. Carmen enjoys riding her bicycle with friends on the rail trails of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
